A place to share screenshots of Microblog posts, whether from Mastodon, tumblr, ~~Twitter~~ X, KBin, Threads or elsewhere.
Created as an evolution of White People Twitter and other tweet-capture subreddits.

- Current politics and news are allowed, but discouraged. There MUST be some kind of human commentary/reaction included (either by the original poster or you). Just news articles or headlines will be deleted.
- Doctored posts/images and AI are allowed, but discouraged. You MUST indicate this in your post (even if you didn't originally know). If an image is found to be fabricated or edited in any way and it is not properly labeled, it will be deleted.
- Absolutely no NSFL content.
- Be nice. Don't take anything personally. Take political debates to the appropriate communities. Take personal disagreements & arguments to private messages.
- No advertising, brand promotion, or guerrilla marketing.

Wtf are these bros using agents for? What is the productivity? I'm seriously asking
They're literally just brute forcing programming using LLMs. They only see how many projects have been finished, not how maintainable they are or how buggy they are, that's where the "increased productivity" comes from.
I thought AI was supposed to be really intelligent and invent warp drive, sci-fi 3D printers, and an immortality drug. When's that happening?
How can we have all these agents and none of them do anything remotely useful or interesting.
That's the same argument creationists make against evolution.
The first versions of anything are never comparable to highly developed versions.
The simplest cell today is VASTLY more complex than the first protocell that existed on the planet.
Also, that last line is an appeal to personal experience. If I could show you a single example of a single agent being genuinely useful would you change your mind? Or have you decided carte blanche?
Ok great, the technology is not there yet, so why is it so out in the public rather than the research labs. I have no problem with AI in theory I just don't understand why everyone's talking about is as if it's a solve technology when it's so clearly isn't.
I've seen lots of examples of AI doing various things, I just haven't seen an example of an AI doing something that would be useful to the average person.

When X-rays were first discovered in 1896 they were used EVERYWHERE. This is what humans do. AI is not unique or special in this regard. A surprising number of people got radiation sickness because of the over-use of the technology.
And again. Just because you have yet to personally experience a use for a technology does not mean the technology is bad or useless. There is undoubtedly widespread abuse, but this doesn't diminish the cases in which it is useful.
Enforce regulation, charge those who abuse it, but the universal claim of "This is bad," doesn't help the cause. It just serves to build mindless tribal hate.

These people think it's a good idea to give unmonitored access to your filesystem, mail inbox, credit card etc to random models they know nothing about other than "the company who made it told me it's good". You should not listen to them
The agents shit out so much code, it's easy to get useful programs if you do testing and know what's good or bad code
Honestly, I develop mine just because it's fun experimenting with the technology. Quite often it takes more effort to teach it how to do a task than doing the task myself would require. But it's a fun challenge.
