Every time I check in with Contra it seems like her actual favorite topic to discuss is herself and how everyone is very mean to her and this is the worst offense on earth. She's completely full of herself to an egregious degree. I remember back when I used to kinda like her videos it was all about either internet bozos she would mock or very 101 level explanations of political concepts.
Except then as she got more popular her video essays got longer, more meandering, and more focused on specifically herself and her life. And like maybe some people would be into that but to me it's just some middle class white woman from Virginia who dropped out of academia. She's not the most interesting subject for multiple hour long video essays. And now she seems fully consumed by internet madness.
You don't seem to fully remember the contents of her videos, it was always about her, when she got a bit of money she started putting people down, she was always a 'fuck you, got mine' type, there are lots of disgusting things she has done if you look into it a little.
