Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Yeah, when the smoke gets really bad here I feel really bad for my chickens, but where am I supposed to put them? I have an emergency shelter for bad weather for them, but its so small they cant really stay in for more than a day without getting mean to each other (I use it exclusively for super cold nights so they don't freeze to death).
I don't have central air yet, either, so my windows are usually open, or I’m dying of heat, so we are all in this together, at least.. I have a window unit for my bedroom but it’s not enough for the whole place. Cuts the humidity a bit though which makes a huge difference these days.
It's really just coming to terms with the fact that life expectancy is going down for us all. We are causing and suffering from global inflammation. Me and the animals still enjoy every day as we can, what else is there to do?
