I fully get that. I personally can accept well designed screens but I know I am in the minority.
I still need to look at it to hit the target.
I hate using Google maps but stuck with it for live updates. Using android auto, I complained for years about the layout and finally they updated it so the buttons were on side and bottom so you can physically align using the screens frame.. For the most part. Their button order still is dumb if I recall correctly.
