Yes! It can and shouldm be done. Unfortunately on per-Wi-Fi basis, so you need to set it up for every single wifi separately - but still worth to do on your home/work wifi. Settings -> Wifi -> "i" icon on the right of the wifi name -> scroll down to "Configure DNS" -> Manual -> "add server" -> put 86.54.11.13 and 86.54.11.213 for DNS4EU with ads and malware filtering or any other IPs you want to use (I personally use these two and they work amazing)
