I read in one article about this that "not even some members of the media" knew he switched planes, and I think the outrage about that is what's making it such a big deal
Having them die was an ultimate sacrifice Trump was willing to make.
But is the media actually outraged? They're pretty fucking stupid and I think they believe no foreign enemy could actually take out Air Force One. Their "logic" being American exceptionalism make that happening impossible.
It only clicked for me after you said this. I thought journalists weren't told as in they just weren't told ahead of time like a change of schedule (media working dick in hand with the govt and all).
Not that it was journalists ON THE PLANE not told about the ol' switcheroo. I can get why they'd be incensed by that
