Yeah it does, but you still have to set it up. It doesnt just work magically.

I didn't say anything about magic, just that it should be less work than making this graphic.

Me saying "you have to set it up", followed by your reply "comes with support out of the box", didn't really make sense. It sounded like you expected controllers to just work and thats not true. You have to set it up the mappings and then have your software controller actually use those mappings so your hardware controllers work as expected. So if they didnt account from the start, they'll have to redo what they made to support it.

You have to map the inputs, not write a gamepad driver to actually support the hardware. Unity supports gamepads out of the box. That's a fact.
