it wasnt the people, it was just literally 3 dudes: lenin, soviet and stalin.
actually it wasn't Stalin, Trotsky did it and he was such a nice guy :) but evil Stalin took the credit from him when Soviet wasn't looking and Lenin was dead :(
you're nearly right. trotsky tried to get the people to rebel, but they wouldnt because of the genes.
oh yes, and weirdly, the people later did a counterrevolution, this time because of the jeans.
