Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

Thank you and happy chatting!

I think this might be the same person who did this last time, it's very close to where I saw the last one. Which the city dealt with in a matter of days from when I saw it, so maybe this particular canvas of street art will also get cleaned/painted over.

(I'm not against street art - I'm rather fond of some of the prettier examples of it as an art form, and tagging is an interesting form of self expression - I just said that in that I'm curious how long it will take the city to do something about this tag, since the previous one I found on City property also caused it and nearby graffiti to be quickly cleaned when previously ignored, and graffiti on a trash receptacle is the ultimate "not worth cleaning".)

notices the pro-tagging vs anti-tagging struggle session but choosing to ignore it because there's nothing inherently good or bad about tagging

Everyone except the person who did the DPRK tag should be jailed for vandalism while the DPRK tagger should be promoted to municipal muralist whose main job is tagging every single dumpster with DPRK and other iconography related to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

More DPRK iconography getting painted on city property would certainly make me happy to see...
