Oh yeah I'm breaking anything like that in a bathroom. And you should too.
Any digital device could come with a camera and microphones.
And best of all, there's no evidence of you breaking it without the owners admitting to filming/recording in a bathroom.
I'd just tape trash bags over the screen. Or maybe paint over it

Everything can be used as paint. Depending on your diet it effects your painting style though.
You'd need to be in the restroom with at least one other occupant if the door to the restroom is being filmed.
What do you think is in there? A network card, maybe 250mb ram, and the screen of course — roughly?
That’s got to be enough for at least 1000 simultaneous Dooms.
I played around with some info terminals for conventions (scan your ticket here, floor layout) and its just a (in my case horribly outdated) tablet motherboard that has some IO soldered.
A mic and camera you say? My audience would finally be bigger than just my unappreciative wife.
I don't live in this country, I'm only here for holidays, so I was a bit afraid of the consequences.
