Just got the urge to play a bit of payday 2, what do I see? Diesel 3.0 open_beta. Yeah, maybe there'll be a good game to play again this summer.

Ive heard a lot of hype around this game, but when I look at the store page, it says there's like $300 worth of DLC, and a bunch of it looks like better guns and stuff.

Is it possible to enjoy this title if you only buy the base game and no DLC? Or are you going to be stuck in an endless grind and always be outgunned by anyone willing to pay $5.99?

I bought my DLCs for like $1. And I got lots of them, they go on sale constantly. Also, I played without DLCs for a LONG time.
