I wish they could just find a neutral wealthy benefactor so they wouldn't have to worry about pleasing people and just focus on making a better browser for all

Sadly yeah, and what I meant by that was doing things to appease a smaller number of users or things to grow their user base while they lose long time users, like adding AI features, search engine politics, all that stuff
