He always looks like he just shit himself.
Supposedly it’s that he stands that way to make himself look less fat, but your version is just as plausible.
Standing that way is also a symptom of dementia
It can be two things
His posture is so strange, I don't know how he stays upright.
He stands as if he's the front half of a centaur.
The name for this stance is literally called "dementia posturing".
I looked around a little bit, and mostly the articles seemed to talk about stooping rather than collapsing backwards into the spine.
I think it's cause he's wearing lifts and has to use his upper body as a counterweight for his belly.
But he definitely is not there mentally any more, 2016 he was still able to speak in sentences.
