arent google phones expensive?
Yes, but if you're looking to have a long-term burner smartphone separate from your main phone, grapheneOS is pretty much the only secure option I'm aware of (although 'long-term burner' is a bit of an oxymoron, admittedly, given that a true burner is one-time-use).
You can get used Pixels for under 200 on ebay. Still expensive but could be worse.
