So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn't do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.

I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

Don't worry, they do that here too. There is a clique of people with extremely fragile egos and worldviews that will have you mass reported if you don't fall in line with their particular thought dogma.

I imagine it’s less draconian over here and easier to appeal with better chances of that appeal being reviewed by actual humans. Reddit banned me too just because I logged into one of my throwaway accounts and forgot that I was temporarily banned from one of the subreddits and mistakenly commented in there. So stupid.

thats what happened to some of my account , critcizing trump was enough for a ban on R/tech, i assume people try to move onto another account avoiding the original sub, but thier Ai just detects that now. originally reddit dint do that, but since thier us of AI, it just looks at all your accounts you were logged into, even if previously you participated in a sub in the past.
