Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

"Sure."
Get a inperson interview and we'll believe it
I dunno. The timing is kinda sus, Lindsey leaving and Mitch coming back at the same time.
Hmmm.
Buddy, you think it's tough keeping one phylactery fed...
Lich McConnell.
Lindsey was one of Mitch's horcuxes. The turtle had to emerge lest others be found and destroyed.
Obviously Lindsey faked his death to impersonate the dead Mitch.
While looking 10 years younger in the picture.
The fact he held up a newspaper is such a cliché I'm inclined to call bullshit. They allow phone calls in the hospital too and even video calls. 🤨
Right. and it looks kinda... off, too. Like. I dunno. these fucks can't be trusted with anything.
Edit: someone showed why down below...)

As much as I want to believe it's AI or edited, I really don't see what the commenter is talking about. The text is in no way less clear or "gibberish" than the rest of the photo at that zoom level. It also fits the actual text very well.
We shouldn't and don't need to go down to conservative right-wing nut-job conspiracy levels. All that does is give them more credibility and fuel to use.
I'm not saying I fully believe he's alive but nothing pointed our by that commenter makes any sense.
Agreed, but I wanted to help link up comments.
You can confirm through a bit of Google Fu, that that is the corner of the 2026-07-12 sports section of the Washington Post. However every copy of the image ive seen is grainy or low-res enough and Photoshop exists that I would also require video evidence before rejudge the situation.
I definitely respect your need for proof, especially in this situation: I think we could all do with more than a still image when it comes to a lying liar who lies facing a governor who is itching to call a special election to replace him if he doesn't issue some kind of proof of life right now.
However, the WaPo page itself is probably legit. The article directly links to a fairly hi-res image of that page on the WaPo site. Paragraph 5:
Had a copy photoshopped under his hand would be more accurate.
I'd believe the page is legit, but they could have had anybody hold that up and then used AI to make that person look like a turtle. (And then post-processed the image to make it grainy and low-res to hide the flaws.)
Who are you quoting there?
