He has it running for over a month according to the video, it actually looks very well set up. He even accidentally "killed" one of the rows, and was able to short circuit it for testing his safety fuses.
It very much looked like he was doing everything possible to do it the safe way, but that doesn't stop any of the batteries themselves from exploding, albeit rather unlikely.
To be fair to him he certainly seems to have tried to be careful. I have no idea if he's actually a qualified sparky.
