Nuclear war is fucking terrifying, the USSR was right to fear it.

"important to history" is a derranged standard for evaluating the worth of people.

I remember seeing that exact same argument used to justify vaccine apartheid. Definitely a part of Mao's 30%.

Part of the sino-soviet split stuff was that Mao was not particularly reluctant about nuclear war as he thought it would hurt capitalist nations more.
