When he's trying to sneak out and she begs him to kill her, he says something like, "would it be so bad to be with me?" Her response of "it never was..." Gave me chills. Fucked up what could have been a great thing with his cowardice.Yeah initially I kinda sympathized with his character, like he had not idea that novelty toy would actually work (also kinda irresponsible for a curio shop to be selling that). And he did try and undo the wish when he realized how it was working, but that line did sorta seal that he is just being a piece of shit.
But the thing is that she was into him anyway, and he's the one who couldn't say anything when he had the opportunity to. She made it easy to tell her by asking point blank, and he still fucked it up.
The one other girl said she asked her how she felt about him and said he was "like a little brother". I think she just wanted to know to let him down easy. Or maybe she was into him and he was just a stupid incel. Idk.
