I got a letter saying they have 60 days to process my refund. About 55 days later they gave themselves another 60 days. Fuck them.

We have been trying to get my son's return for 3 months now. First they needed to verify his ID, now they are still... I don't know what.

Return is the form that you send to them.

they might mean a transcript of a prior year's return, which is sometimes needed as proof of income
