To present a different option, Singapore. Very smug and think theyre intrinsically better than their neighbors. When rly it just comes down to geography and english proficiency. I just hate that they're always trotted out as this capitalistic success story when their "success" came about under a set of very specific circumstances
Also, a pattern among these Singapore-like nations is that the people there are racist towards immigrant workers who are almost certainly keeping their country afloat.
No you see it's easy. Every developing country needs to control a key maritime lane and they'll finally become like Singapore.
