I knew somebody who always called the original Modern Warfare "Modern Warfare 4" because it said "Call of Duty 4" on the box and they got confused. If they still have that idiosyncrasy in their speech now all these years later, it will be interesting to see how they adapt to Modern Warfare 4 actually being a thing now.
Edit: I was going to complain about the Chopsticks ass 4 in the logo, but then I realized that it actually says 4 in Korean, 사 sa. Clever bit of graphic design wasted on a game like this!
At school when MW2 was popular, I used to call it COD4:2
Reminds me of my favorite TTRPG, D&D3.5.5.5.5 (or, Pathfinder 2e Revised)
