I need to find out who writes the dialogue for The Boys and beat them to death with every single script Joss Whedon, Taylor Sheridan and whatever other bunch of hacks I can think of, wrote up. (hexbear.net)

I have seen that scene played for laughs so many times that you're a hack if you bring it up even to parody it, because it is so played out.
I would never in my life think I would actually see it played straight. What the fuck.

Kill all nepobabies.

And if you're thinking "well that's Eric Kripke" then you might be right, but I figure he's the showrunner, so he probably doesn't write a lot of the details for each episode. And if it was him, then the dialogue would probably have been ass always. Or maybe not, people change. But I'm making a list and I'm working my way up through it.

I watched the first two seasons and I just found it too mean-spirited. The writing itself felt misanthropic and sadistic, like it made characters suffer just for the sake of it. It was misery porn.

I don't know that I'd agree but then again I read the comics and they're even worse in this regard so maybe I just think the show is better by comparison.

Regardless what one thinks of the Boys shows. The Boys comic is imho WORSE. I really enjoy edgy stuff and the comic is really just all edge and no point.
