Unless I'm signing up for something which involves using my penis, why do they even need to ask in the first place? My gender is human.

Usually they're just for demographic purposes, figuring out if there are more men than women using things, etc.

About the only proposal I would add would be a "Nonbinary" option in addition to "Prefer not to answer". I am a cis guy, though, so I don't presume to speak from any other perspective on the matter!

I take it back. I know why those questions exist. It was for women’s rights and point in government contracts
