Well to an extent that is an issue, but when the market is so saturated, and people's time and resources are stretched so thin, in many cases it makes sense just to watch someone play a game for a bit to see if it's worth looking into further

There's also all the terrible games released that bank on a great trailer to build up hype. Cyberpunk 2077 is a perfect example where the hype didn't match the delivery. With that limited time and money I don't want to spend $60+ and 80gb+ of data for a game that isn't even playable at launch. I'm going to wait and watch some real game play from someone or stream reviews to see if I'm going to make that investment.
