The DNC, more than any other organization in existence, is responsible for Trump’s presidency.

That's you. What part of that do the rest of us not understand?

My post was about the DNC and the Dem leadership. Why in the wallowing fuck would I spend half of it talking about the Republicans?

Because you lazily used non-specific yet all-encompassing language as hyperbole and in the process created a lie.

then that’s very much your problem - not mine.

No, it's very much your problem: I've never had to call anyone else stupid for what I chose to write, but that's the entirety of your post history.

Self-evidently, you don't understand what I meant.

The Republicans did what they could to get Trump elected, but it rather obviously wouldn't have been enough by itself. If the DNC had nominated a candidate the voters actually wanted who had then run on a platform the voters actually wanted, Trump would have lost.

Therefore the DNC - the people most responsible for forcing through a candidate the people didn't want and for rejecting the platform the people wanted and instead running on the platform the oligarchs wanted - bear more responsibility for Trump's election than anyone else.

That's exactly what I meant, and I stand by it.

And before you go veering to your backup strawman - that doesn't in any way absolve the Republicans of anything. They're loathsome scum who nominated a jabbering psychopath who's overseen the most corrupt and destructive administration in US history.

But similarly, that doesnt change the fact that the Democrats could have stopped them, but the DNC fucked it up.

Because you lazily used non-specific yet all-encompassing language as hyperbole and in the process created a lie.

No - I didn't take you by the hand and walk you through my reasoning, and you then jumped to one of the currently most tediously regurgitated strawmen out there.

I’ve never had to call anyone else stupid for what I chose to write

Neither have I.

I have sometimes called them stupid for their piss-poor job of interpreting what I wrote though.

And here's a secret - I don't do that because I believe they actually are stupid - if I believed that, I'd silently pity them

I call people stupid just to needle them when they're actually pretentious pseudo-intellectuals who substitute fallacies for arguments.

but that’s the entirety of your post history.

Something something "all-encompassing language as hyperbole and in the process created a lie."
