Cinemacon is an industry convention. Studios present there to get industry hype from both critics, and theater owners, for their upcoming movies.

DC picked the scene they thought was best able to sell the movie and generate buzz, and it was universally disliked.

That's a problem.

And that's just what's confirmed from this one convention. If you read other reports, the film has had significantly more test screenings than usual, because all its various cuts are being received poorly and they keep trying to recut it into a viable product for release.
