Pirated a web rip of this today and rated it a 2/5. It's like 15% nostalgia bait, 85% key-jangling. Feels like it was created as a series of scenes that someone had to cobble together into a semi-coherent narrative rather than anything else. It's enjoyable enough, but extremely shallow, definitely worse than the original.
Still, I'm not immune to being seduced by Fox McCloud, so it had its moments.
I completely agree, but 2/5 feels harsh. I can't justify a 3/5 because because while any individual scene or moment is wonderful and deserving, it's all ultimately shallow.
If you put this movie on in the background you wouldn't find anything you dislike. But if I focused in and watched it, there isn't anything to praise.
So yeah. 2/5.
Honestly sounds like the first movie
Fox fux.
