I've played through Baldur's Gate and I know nothing about Shadowheart because I killed her right at the beginning on my only playthrough xD
She adds a lot! I would highly recommend replaying. She ended up being my favorite companion.
Second only to Mama K.
Its a Larian game, the fully voice acted cast is too big for one playthrough. DOS2 requires 2 runs to hear everyone. BG3 requires 3 (2 origin characters and 1 durge run).

I did one Tav run, want to do a Gale origin, and just got to the Druid Grove with my Durge.
I've done that once. Was playing as Bae'zel and Shadowheart was being racists, so she got what she got. An in person meeting with Lady Shar.
I do that sometimes if i play as a lolth sworn drow. I skip grabbing her from the pods and then she’s banging on the doors at the ruins. Then if you provoke her by getting closer when she tells you to stop she’ll fight you.

Intentional. I was roleplaying a slightly evil character and I killed her to take everything she had!

I would try another go round myself, just to see what I missed!
I missed a whole swathe in the underdark section of Act 1 during my first playthrough.
And good too. She’s an evil whiny bitch. Lae’zel is where it’s at. And Astarion of course.
