My biggest gripe with celsius is that the numbers are too small when talking about weather . So I’m making a new temperature unit I’m calling Jelsius. It’s just celsius times 3. Water still freezes at zero but now it boils at 300.

If you need me I’ll be by my mailbox waiting for the nobel to come in.

Who the hell can tell the difference? e.g. A difference from 15 to 16 degrees is borderline imperceptible. And if you really need it, decimal points are right there.

Yeah I've never understood that argument. The only time I can feel a single degree difference is when I'm winter bathing

yeah but it's convenient to have 10-degree differences instead of 5-degree differences for getting dressed. plus i definitely adjust my car thermostat by 2 or 3 degrees. i guess you could do that in celsius too with your weird half-degree thermostats but what a pain in the ass.

My car just has a red bar and a blue bar that determines how cold the air is. The other thing reads to me like the guy who told me he didn't like football because the numbers were too small.

in this case my main gripe is the numbers take up too much space but you're right that as far as thermostats go, it's a minor nitpick. really everything about units of measure is a minor nitpick though.

What do you mean, decimal points? Is that like a sixteenth of a degree?

For sure decimals are a good option I just don’t see weather reported with decimals very often
