I'm not talking emotional games about working out parental trauma, I need shit to play past my bedtime while drinking soda and eating pizza. I last did this with diablo 3, and I wish to revisit the headspace

Ultrakill, best shooter I have played in a while, very fast, doom feels slow after playing ultrakill

Yakuza 0, its quite long and the best yakuza overall, many crazy story misions mixed with many stupid side quests, the bad thing is japanese weird sexual stuff is quite common

Do you like strategy? I can play a single game of civilization 4 (with chronicles of mankind mod) or 6 for a whole day if i have the time

Maybe victoria 3 for a more grand strategy and rising revolutions

Hotline miami 1 and 2, fast paced top down shooter, quite hard, one hit kill and revive loops, the best soundtrack ive heard in my life

Celeste amazing platformer, it has some trauma talk about anxiety, but you can skip it if you just wanna play

Outer wilds for a more relaxed and exploratory game, not as adictive tho, its more like a puzzle game about discovering secrets but its magical

Deep Rock Galactic, coop shooter, Rock and Stone!

Slay the spire 2 just came out, roguelike deck builder

Tropico 4 my favorite city builder

You can pirate most of these except the ones with multiplayer like DeepRock

I was big into civ4, it’s where I first got into history. Maybe that’s the move

Yeah I played it as a kid and it helped me understand the world, even in a simplified form, also the great quotes from famous people when you research a tech, they are stuck in my head

Its amazing that i still play it today moded and its still one of the best games there is of this type, nothing comes as close

Im using Chronicles of Mankind as I think its one of the best mods and it has its own installer so its really easy to use, it adds too many things to mention them in detail but some are: more techs that advance the game to future eras, more complex units and unit mechanics for example ranged units are actually ranged, countries can collapse and break into multiple rebel countries, these can be conquered again or they can become independent, etc. all options can be activated or deactivated too

“If you chase two rabbits, you will lose them both” echoes in my ears. Might have to go back…

I love the comedic humor of 4, the new ones have not managed to get me to like them tho Also the fact that the economy makes it posible to play how you choose and not stop you artificially like the new ones or making them too simple like a wonder that removes people needing food or hospitals like wtf
