Literally every person running for US president ever promises this, because otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to run.
It’s the only thing we make besides corn. They just know it would throw an ugly (but not system breaking!) wrench in their gears by admitting that we need to sell missiles to the baby killers because the “put the economy on a credit card” solution to the consumer spending decreases has begun to run out of motion.
