I picked Subnautica back up because I wanted to try a randomizer mod. Thought it might add a fun twist to the game, but even though it made the start a little bit more difficult it really just made everything more tedious because I had to swim to shallow water to get early game materials. Basically all that's randomized is my spawn location and the blueprint fragments are semi-randomized.

I only made progress after restarting twice because the first time my lifepod spawned way too far towards the edge and I was eaten by a ghost leviathan as soon as I left the lifepod. The second start I had a good spawn but I had randomize recipes on and did you know there are like a million different seeds in the game? That's not really the experience I was looking for lol.
