Like seriously, this is the best successor to Fallout New Vegas I've seen in a long time. There's a lot of originality here, a lot of humorous writing, and a well-crafted world that is deep as well as broad and has a lot of opportunities for roleplaying.

It does all the things that Bethesda decided not to do so that you could experience the joys of building the same settlement 40 times and choose dialogue options such as HATE NEWSPAPER so you can find your 60 year old son who made Terminator people because reasons(?) and knows the surface world is doomed and not worth saving after having spent literally less than five minutes there in his entire life and talking to zero people

Like sure your choices of factions so far are liberal ren faire nerds, straight-up fascists or an autocratic deep state but supposedly there's a Yes Man style ending coming up in a future update and it's a damn sight better than the bland as fuck factions in Fallout 4 and the writing is nowhere near as stupid as anything Bethesda has produced in 20 years.

Just bums me out knowing that Starfield and Fallout 76 are what they are now. Uninspired garbage and shameless microtransaction maximization.

How's it run these days? IIRC at launch it was a mess with really frequent crashes and that put me off of playing it.

New update has it pretty stable

I'm also playing with DXVK so that helps my AMD card perform
