Advertising is the act of drawing attention to a product or service in order to encourage people to buy it. A rather expansive subset of marketing, it involves various practices and techniques to reach the goal of increasing awareness and sales.
I went through this a while ago. It's because he's an unthreatening big softy. I watched a show called "Play It Cool Guys" where all the boys are all depicted as big idiots and teddy bears and came to the realisation that it's not really men that's the problem it's how threatening they always behave. When they get into the totally unthreatening teddy bear safe zone they become attractive again.
