I keep hearing a little squeaking sound and I choose to believe it's a wee little mouse who's hiding out in my home.

If you don't want to kill it, there are live capture traps and putting some peanut butter in them works very well.

Just take the mouse a mile away and release it.

this still kills the mouse unfortunately 😩 if it's a house mouse, they specifically live in human enviroments.
