I come from a land downunder, and many people are up in arms about everyone having to verify their age and/or id in order to watch (say) pron.

Given the collective desire for privacy and security, most are not willing to upload their personal details to a porn site (or a company affiliated with one) and are opting to subscribe to a VPN instead. Alternatively, they - ok, we - are looking for a browser add-on that automates (or falsifies) the process.

Does anyone know which countries do not require age verification or of apps et al that circumvent the process? I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the latter is made available if it isn't already.

thanks

march update ☞ Turkey's ruling party submits bill to ban social media for under-15s https://www.reuters.com/technology/turkeys-ruling-party-submits-bill-ban-social-media-under-15s-2026-03-04/

With the bill, Turkey is following the example of Australia, several European countries and others which have adopted or are considering similar restrictions, amid mounting concerns over the impact of social media on children's health and safety.

The Turkish bill would require social media providers to set up age‑verification systems and to offer parental control tools to ensure the safety of children in the digital world.

Ffs, it’s going to come down to somewhere really inconvenient to scroll to soon, isn’t it? Like Azerbaijan or Armenia
