Dual boot with something linux mint. Thats what i did, and although i still need to boot into windows for work purposes, there is no software that i need privately that requires windows. So my old laptop and media pc run Mint exclusively, and my main pc is dual boot, using Mint for everything but work. I envy your opportunity as a retired sort, to raise two fingers at microslop and any software provider that wont develop cross platform solutions.

I'll look into Mint. I need something that will work well with games (I've been a gamer my whole life) and OBS for my streams.

And not retired yet. Just old.
