This is how the government keeps the AI bubble intact a little while longer. OpenAI is really at the heart of the whole industry and is unbelievably in the red with no potential profitability in sight anywhere. By integrating them into the Department of War, they can now claim that OpenAI's survival is a national security concern, and bail them out.
