Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

What odds are the bookies giving on hamberder clogged arteries winning before this term is up?

This guy gets a full body MRI (probably every year one or two). Judging by the timeline I would guess they started that as a response to Biden's prostate cancer.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Any significant medical condition they'll find months in advance. There's a reason why ultra-rich dipshits like Murdoch are seemingly indestructible.

Yeah I know, unfortunately. But I'm still holding out that living as a narcissist for his entire life has put a ton of strain on his body and he'll have a stroke or something. He'll never admit it (obv), but he knows tons of people hate him. Just look at how he reacts to any negative attention, like the recent SOTU where he got pissy that the dems wouldn't stand and applaud for him.

Deep down in his lizard brain he knows he's a piece of barely human garbage and it wears on his fatfuck old bones.

I wish you were right. I really do, but unfortunately, it's really hard to understand true malignant personality level disorder narcissists like Trump. He doesn't care because he thinks he's the only one in the entire world or universe that exists.

Narcissists like this, they see everyone else as a puppet whose strings are dropped when he leaves the room, waiting for him to come back where they will then reanimate. That's how they see human beings other than themselves. They literally can't give a shit even if they wanted to about other people. You could more ask a person who has colorblindness, and can't see red and green, to see red and green, then you could convince a narcissist at the level of Trump to care about another human being.

Even if it seems like he cares about someone else, it's just that his agenda lines up with theirs. It's always about him, always. Extreme narcissists are very predictable, they all act this way. Some people are narcissists on a much lower level. In fact, a lot of people have a smidge of narcissism, but the ones that are extreme narcissists, there's no hope for them.

He doesn't think he's human garbage because he thinks he's the only human being that exists, therefore, he thinks everything he thinks and feels is the only thing that is right and true. Nothing else registers. He doesn't think or care that other people hate him because he thinks he's the only person that matters and exists. It's hard for us who aren't like this to understand it, but when you've had a parent like this, you get to know the patterns.

I dunno, some of that sounds more solipsistic than a narcissist. He's trying to shovel admiration (however fake or fawning it usually is) into a bottomless daddy-shaped abyss in what passes for his soul. If he truly didn't care what people thought he wouldn't react with reflexive infantile petulance and anger to his critics.

He's barely had a conscious thought in his entire adult existence, but his subconscious knows his pain. Some people can shrug off criticism but it's festering deep down in him somewhere that he can't access. If he hadn't been born with a million silver spoons up his ass he'd have been long dead already.

Even a stroke clot needs to form somewhere. The full body MRI would very likely pick that up months before a stroke would happen.

Edit: Sorry to annoy you with basic medical facts for everyone downvoting my comment -_-

Imagine that, approximately 8.3 BILLION human beings on this planet. Of those, most of which know this waste of DNA exists, of those, I imagine the majority of which wish he and his ilk would just keel over sooner rather than later.

Too bad "vibes" can't be measurably sent. Guy would've been melted by the world's collective ire by now.

seemingly indestructible.

Then i guess they can withstand the impact of a freight train, so no harm in trying.

[–] madde@feddit.org 4 points 2 days ago

By all means. I'm not advocating for them. I can just tell you, that this is where the ultra wealthy put their money. And on an individual level the value of a full-body-MRI for prevention is quite high. There's a small exclusive club of people who have access to these kind of things and we are not part of it

I wonder if those odds count if he steals the election, as that site says "win".

There's gotta be someone out there giving odds on him dying though.
