this is a warning that you are about to get scammed even worse than before
I keep my professional contacts fresh for exactly this reason.
I recently received another endorsement on my plumbing license which is typically commensurate w/ a decent raise - I've dealt with a lot of shit, literal and figurative, to get to where I am. I refuse to sell myself short. I turned in my two weeks after I was told they can't afford it.
Meanwhile failson is driving a brand new Ram 1 ton dually, after he wrapped his other brand new truck around a phone pole while out drinking a year ago. HE JUST GOT HIS LICENSE REINSTATED A WEEK AGO. It's got every conceivable option from the dealership, along with a lift, big mud tires, and a bulletproof transmission to handle it all. I'd estimate 120k give or take a few k.
Well that definitely explains why he can't afford to pay you what you're worth
i hope when he inevitably gets into another car crash that he's the only one that dies
I think that was his second drinking related wreck. Both that I know of were single driver, single car. Already had an interlock once that I know of but I likely don't k ow the whole story.
This is very funny and insightful
is that actually a thing
I googled it for both of us. It appears to just mean a very sturdy/reliable transmission that holds up to abuse.
bulletproof in a figurative sense really.
Heavy duty housings, quality gears, beefy axels, that sorta thing.. they call it bulletproof in the sense that you can't trash them except in extreme cases, I think.
