The suburban hunters i grew up around were so lame it put me off the whole endeavor. Maybe when I was a kid I thought there was something clever about like bow-hunting or trapping wild game but no one around did stuff like that. It was all salt licks and curated tour hunting. This one guy, a friend’s father, bought a place in “the country” just more suburbs and would drive around pointing out deer he wanted to shoot from his big ah polluting truck and would make some poor bucks in rut fight each other in his backyard by rattling antlers at them. Scumbag.
