Ok so i presume they controlled for this but given

sexually transmitted parasites, such as T. gondii

and the more attractive people had a

higher number of sexual partners

Weren’t they more likely to get it anyway? Especially if they self-select amongst the similarly attractive sexual partners?

I didn't see anything in the article that suggested controlling for that. I'm not familiar with this particular publication, but I'm pretty accustomed to science publications sensationalizing the studies they're reporting on.
