I'm reading they cut 70% of the substories?! Do they have a history of adding them back in via updates/DLC at all? That sounds awful. Did the other Kiwami games do this?
They also removed the Revelations feature, which is when you learned new moves by taking pictures of wacky events. Looks like this game might possibly be shorter than the original 3, which was already one of the shortest games in the series, and it's not even being sold at a reduced price like Gaiden.
The only time they ever did something like this was adding a handful of new side cases to Lost Judgment iirc. The remakes have always cut a lot of content from the originals, but this is a new low.
K1 mostly just trimmed out some filler substories, but K2 had some substantial changes to the story and cut out an entire small extra city along with 2 huge minigame substories (the host club was completely cut, the hostess club was reworked as a rehash of Yakuza 0's minigame with a completely different plot). Neither was as egregious as K3 though.
