When someone argues that you are conflating things, and then you conflate them in your response, pointing to that conflation does not work as a data point against that you're conflating them. It doesn't automatically make you wrong, either, but it doesn't help your case.
They completely edited that comment, by the way. It did not read anything like that. It originally said something like "triple quotations are used as a dogwhistle". So they were adamant even after making the mistake.
You're not wrong I was just pointing out that within the context I have certainly seen it used like that and I usually just use single " and let the context make the sarcasm clear. Didn't mean to start an argument and def not defending goat. Just looks like everyone in that thread sucks.
I don't think that always works. We probably wouldn't need /s if it did.

i think most of the time that's a skill issue on the part of sarcastic poster.
