the epstein revelations that /pol/ on 4chan was left leaning during the occupy wall street protests and that it was effectively directing anger towards the ruling class; but then afterwards inundated so heavily by rightist view points that it drove away the leftists/liberals is the most surprising thing to me and it proved to the ruling class that social media can be leveraged for their own goals.

it's makes me wonder if that's the driving force behind things like meanwhileongrad; piefed; & .world when you consider how reactionary they are on otherwise left leaning environments.

Honestly, I think it's just radicalized liberals that hate the status quo, but refuse to read theory or consider a non-western viewpoint, leading to endless rage towards leftists and making bed with fascists.
