I'll never understand the irrational hatred towards trans people from chuds. Sure, I can understand if your toilet bowl brain has shit turds of religious brainworms, but you got reddit atheists even hating on trans people, and it's like, what's your fucking excuse outside of being a hateful bigot?

My theory is that, because their only exposure to us is through porn, they perceive us as inherently sexualized objects. We aren't people, we're masturbation content i.e. should not be allowed in public life or people to which children should be exposed.

This is also why homosexuality was publicly suppressed for so long as well. Being gay was seen as inherently sexualized in a way that being straight was not. The mere existence of a gay person was a scandal, kids could not be exposed to their very existence.

Same. Even when I didn't know anything about this stuff my intuition was "let people do what makes them happy/what doctors recommend." I can't imagine sustaining hate - not just ignorance, which is easily sustained by doing nothing, but active hate - for a group unless that group was actively trying to harm you in some way (like fascists).

So I think it’s defensive projection. If they let down their wall of fear, they might have to come to terms with their insecurity. The fact that they have had queer thoughts and never came to terms with it. They hide their feminine/masculine/freaky side, I believe the entire conservative culture suppresses their true nature because they are trained to fear judgement. The more you attack a subgroup the more likely you do it out of insecurity. How many times have we seen the most hateful person towards LGBTQ end up having some freaky stuff hiding in the closet. If you have no healthy outlet, it can become a monster.

To add a bit more nuance to this, denying trans people their gender gives them no need to justify theirs in their eyes. They consider their ASAB to give themselves inherent traits. It's a form of gatekeeping. People are affraid of their ASAB not meaning much in the end. This is also why TERFs are bioessentialist. They want to gatekeep the experience of womanhood to people who were AFAB. It might be because of insecurity, but it can also be just a powertrip for them (which goes hand by hand, but not always)

This is also why so many of them pivoted to just being islamophobic.
