As long as you have "enough" RAM and drive space, its not an issue in short term. Just save up for what is coming next until the bubble plops, as you said. However those who need it right now, have mercy with them.

Yeah, at least one of my RAM sticks seems to be going out... Very not happy about it, but not much I can do about it rn

Dont most reputable ram companies cover RAM failure for life?

Fair point. I'll need to figure out which stick it is, and if it's the old one hope they're still in business

I was just building a small home server / NAS. I went with a similar AM4 stack like 2 other PCs we have at home. More spare parts if needed.

Also a some manufacturers offer liftime warranty on RAM.

I'm eternally grateful that I had the extra ram for my girlfriend when she built her computer, didn't feel right speccing out everything and having 300 dollars of ram on the part list
