You have to keep explaining it because you guys keep trying to shift the definition around. The way everyone else has always understood it, "Left" was always short for "Left-wing" and is the umbrella term for everything on the left end of the political spectrum. "Liberal", "Socialist", "Communist", etc, are all subsets of "Left".

No, nobody is changing the definitions, and liberal has never been part of the left. Wtf do you mean we keep changing it? Who is we? The actual leftists for as long as I’ve been alive who keep telling you liberals that you aren’t leftists? The countless books and essays and political figures from longer than I’ve been alive who are telling you that you aren’t part of the left? I mean MLK and Malcolm X immediately come to mind, so how is this a change in definition at all?

I'm sorry you don't like the common colloquial understanding of the term "Left" but that's what it means to the common person who isn't steeped in political theory. Hence why leftist on here have to constantly point out that "Liberal" doesn't fit their definition of "Left".

No, its not OUR DEFINITION, it is THE DEFINITION, and American liberals keep trying to change it and then wonder why leftists wont vote for their candidates. Also only in the US is that the common term for the left. Because y’all dont want to read or learn anything and then dont understand why people get annoyed with you about it.

Well, thats fair, theres liberals who purposely don’t understand what words mean in every country, they just mostly seem to come from America. Doesn’t make your attitude any less annoying.

Liberalism has always included free markets and isn't the left. It's only the US dichotomy of liberal vs. conservative and the volume and reach their media has that confuses the issue.
