Trump will never stop trying to obstruct justice.

Can't the judge find him in contempt for this? I can't think of a better reason for contempt than trying to influence the investigations by withholding funding.

Sure. But that just proves she’s political!

(In reality not doing so is political. Like how not knocking in his door with a full fbi tactical raid the moment the documents were discovered missing is inherently political.)

Waiting 2 years to prosecute this dipshit was political. They should have brought charges sooner. Instead, they drag their feet into election year, making it appear intentional.

Our government is so fucking incompetent. Dude admits to a crime openly and they still manage to fuck it up.

Seriously, they should indicted him right when he took his first step out of the White House door.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

They should have indicted him right when he took his first step in to the White House door, for violating the Emoluments Clause. Fuckwad was a criminal from day 1, even ignoring the crimes committed before the election.

[-] Serinus@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

That's a real, real bad look.

[-] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

That’s his skill really. He can make ethically correct decisions look corrupt

[-] jballs@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 year ago

You had the Justice Department saying "look he committed crimes, but we can't arrest him because he's president - so either impeach him or vote him out, then we'll do something." So why the fuck did they do anything day 1 of him not being president? Dragging their feet made it a bad look. An immediate arrest would have made it look a thousand times better.
